Airport pick up on arrival
We understand how worried students can be leaving their home country for the very first time. For all full-time students studying for a full academic year we arrange a free airport collection service. For those students who are studying for a shorter period the `Meet and Greet` service will cost about £125(GBP Pounds Sterling) . All travelling students are given a mobile telephone number before they depart so they can make direct contact with their driver who will be waiting at the airport with a name board when they arrive. Attached is the `Meet and Greet` request form:
Halls of Residence
The College's Accommodation team can arrange accommodation in high standard halls of residence located next to the college or within a short walk away. This option is for students who wish to live independently. The halls are divided into student flats for 5/6 students and each flat has dining and kitchen facilities. There is also a large, communal lounge with TV, board games and table tennis table for students to relax with their friends. The costs are between £53 and £89 per week including heating and lighting. There is a coin operated laundry for students. All communal areas of the college halls are regularly cleaned. For students under the age of 18 there are separate halls with a warden in attendance 24 hours. Meals are extra. The college cafeteria is open for breakfast from 8.00am and closes at 8.00pm and hot meals and snacks are all reasonably priced.
To reserve accommodation a deposit of £200 is required. For September 2012 reservations the deposit will be £280.
What is included in the Halls of residence accommodation fees?
- All shared areas, kitchens, communal living rooms and bathrooms are regularly cleaned.
- All bills e.g. gas, electricity, water (not TV licence) are included
- Kitchens are equipped with, Fridge/freezer ,Oven/hob ,Microwave, Kettle,
- Each study bedroom is furnished with: -
- Wardrobe
- Desk
- Bed
- Chair
- Lamp
- Shelves
A bedding pack can be provided for a cost of £25 and includes, a duvet, pillow, sheets and pillowcases
Home Stay Family
Home Stay family arrangements are also available for students wishing to be immersed into British culture. Breakfast and evening meals are provided. All our home stay families are visited regularly by the Accommodation Officer to ensure that they have safe, warm and comfortable homes and offer a friendly welcome - costs are between £85 and £105 per week. A £20 per week retainer should be allocated when students are away during colleges holidays.
Please note that each year there maybe a small increase in the cost of accommodation.
