Leonardo da Vinci Programme
Loughborough College has been successfully receiving trainees on Leonardo and other European transnational programmes for over 15 years, from a range of countries including Bulgaria, Hungary, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, the Azores, Czech Republic, Portugal and Slovakia.
We can provide trainees with a programme that increases their mobility in Europe through the provision of skills development programmes geared towards vocational outcomes.
Our skills development programme includes:
- Business language
- Cultural awareness
- Fully supported work experience placement and mentoring
We can offer Vocationally Oriented Language Learning (VOLL), as this element of our programme focuses on business English and is designed to develop specific language skills and competences essential to the workplace.
Trainee Work Experience
Our extensive network of local employers offer placements that provide real work experience closely matched to individual employment goals.
Quality Charter for Mobility - in adhering to this Charter, we will endeavour to provide trainees with a UK based programme that meets the highest quality standards in:
- Providing clear information and guidance to partner organisations and trainees on mobility placements.
- Working towards agreed learning objectives and outcomes including certification and validation of learning outcomes.
- On-going linguistic support and advice.
- Logistical support with travel, accommodation, health and safety, finance and work placements.
- Embedded intercultural appreciation throughout the programme.
- A specific cultural element visiting key educational and historic sites and tourism venues such as Cambridge, Lincoln and Stratford Upon Avon (optional).
- Using the Europass to capture trainees progress and achievement
