Introduction

Loughborough University is a leading UK university with first rate facilities in a convenient location in the centre of England. In 2009 the university celebrated 100 years of education and innovation and is proud of the established links with industry. Research and teaching are integrated at every opportunity to provide the highest quality learning experience.
Loughborough University has also won the Times Higher Award for `Best Student Experience` four successive years running. This award is voted for by the students and all Loughborough College students also automatically become members of the same Loughborough Student Union.

Both university and college students have access to over 100 clubs and societies ranging from the International Student Society to Stage. Cycling, Dance, Photography, Hiking and many, many others.
All aspects of Sport also take place on this glorious, open, green campus located in over 437 acres, located on one single site in the centre of England. International sporting facilities on the campus have lead to the universities unique contribution to the world of sport with 49 athletes, past and present, competing in the Beijing Olympics.
The campus is easy to get around either by walking, cycling or a shuttle bus service is available to the town and station. Students can soon make new friends and enjoy their free time together.

Her Majesty, The Queen, presented Loughborough with its sixth Queen`s Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education, an achievement matched only by the University of Oxford.
The Energy Technologies Institute (ETI) recently established on the Loughborough campus is the heart of its Science and Enterprise Park and is key to the UK`s research into the efficient production and use of energy. All departments at the university run programmes that include sustainability related modules.
