Your First Day at the College
Please come to the International Office, near the main College reception at 9.15 am on your first day. You need to bring with you:
- CAS Statement/Unconditional Offer letter
- Passport
- Biometric ID card – if applicable
- Original school/university certificates
- English Language certificates – if applicable
- Sponsorship letter – if applicable
- Home address translated into English
- Details (in English) of any medical conditions and the names of any medicines you are taking
- Bank draft/cheque/credit or debit card to pay tuition and accommodation fees. If you have already paid by bank transfer, please bring a copy of the bank transfer.
Please avoid travelling with large amounts of cash.
Induction programmes vary depending on the course, but you should expect to do the following during the first few days of your course:
- Meet your tutors and the International Team
- Registration and payment of tuition and accommodation fees
- Meet the other students on your course
- English testing and assessment
- Get your timetable
- Set up your computer account
- Open a bank account
- Register with the Police – this will be arranged by the International Team if required
- Tour the College so you know where your classrooms are
- Receive information about College facilities and services e.g. the Learning Resource Centre, tutor-supported Language Zone, Multi-Faith Room, Careers Advice and Enrichment programme
