Access to Higher Education in Science is a specialist programme presenting you with the opportunity to study across a broad spectrum of academic science related fields.

Course Content

Access to HE Science is designed to provide an equal balance across all the core science subject areas. This equal balance across all the core science subject areas is meeting the requirements of those universities who ask for a balanced science based qualification at Level 3.

Entry Requirements

Students are required to have GCSE English Language at least Grade C/4 to enrol on this course and GCSE Maths at Grade C/4. In addition, a GCSE Science qualification at Grade C/4 or a Level 2 equivalent qualification in a related subject is required for this course. Previous academic qualifications are asked for on the application form and the interviewer must be satisfied that the candidate has sufficient literacy and numeracy skills to cope with the requirements of the course and the written components.

Progression Opportunities

Following the successful completion of an Access course, you will have the option of either moving into full-time employment or progressing on to Higher Education. Also, computers are available for student use in the college whenever they are needed and quiet places for studying can be found as well.
