The BSc (Hons) Top-Up in Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) offers you the opportunity to study either full-time or part-time with the aim of converting your existing foundation degree or HND into a full BSc with Honours. This course provides you with the specialist knowledge and skills required for a career in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Course Content
Aiming to provide you with an understanding of the key concepts relating to Electrical and Electronic Engineering, this course is flexible in its approach to delivery and allows you to construct a programme that coincides with your individual circumstances. The BSc (Hons) Top-Up in Engineering provides you with the opportunity to enrol on a range of modules specific to your area of interest. All individuals enrolled on this course will have their own learning programme and extensive support is available via phone, email, Skype and LearnZone.
With industry standard workshops and facilities that have been modernised for effective practice, this course has been developed in collaboration with our external partners to ensure that the education you receive is relevant and up-to-date. Emphasising the importance of work-based experience, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge to existing companies and gain valuable skills that will inform your future practice. You will be expected to complete a level of self-directed study throughout the duration of this course and we require you to commit a dedicated amount of time to your learning both in and out of College.
Entry Requirements
Minimum grade 4/C in GCSE Maths and English.
240 credits at Level 5, either from a BTEC Higher National Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline (with a minimum of five Merit module grades) or a completed Foundation Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.

Progression Opportunities
Upon completion of this one year course, our graduates find success in a broad range of sectors and the opportunities for further progression are varied. Some of our graduates choose to enrol on higher level qualification courses such as a Masters, with others seeking career development in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
