About Loughborough College

Welcome to Loughborough College!

Established in 1909, we're proud of our long-standing reputation for providing excellent levels of high-quality teaching and training across Leicestershire.

Inspiring success and enriching lives'

With a fantastic range of courses, first-class facilities and a fresh approach to modern teaching and training, why go anywhere else?

Of the 11,000 students currently enrolled at Loughborough College, most will agree that studying with us means far more than just gaining a qualification.

We offer a different kind of learning environment where you'll be treated as an adult and our relaxed and welcoming campus means that you’ll fit straight in to the College way of life.

We have lots of different courses, from A Levels to vocational programmes and degrees and you'll have the opportunity to gain practical, industry-related skills while you study.

To be the bridge to the future…

With links to leading universities and established professionals, our courses have been developed with an emphasis on employability and aim to provide you with the relevant academic and practical skills needed to succeed within the workplace. Many of our programmes are vocationally based and offer you the opportunity to apply what you have learnt in class to job roles within the industry.

The College is friendly and supportive and we allow you to develop and gain the necessary independence and responsibility expected of higher-level study. Advice and support is available to all students prior to enrolment and will continue long after graduation.

A life changing experience…

We want your experience with us to be valuable and exciting both inside and outside of the classroom and we are always exploring new ways to keep things fresh and interesting.

There are so many opportunities to get involved and as an automatic member of Loughborough Students' Union (LSU), you can choose to take part in loads of volunteering and social schemes.

LSU boasts over 100 clubs and societies, being voted no.1 for student experience on many occasions.

On campus, we have a fully equipped gym, dance studios, functional hair and beauty salons, two cafés and two restaurants, a Library and much more.

Because we share our campus with the Loughborough University, you will have the opportunity to access many of the facilities provided by both institutions.

Campus investment

Over the last few years we have invested over £30 million in the College campus to provide the very latest in teaching and learning facilities at Loughborough College.

At the heart of the College campus is The Hub, a large modern complex built under one roof.

The Main reception area and International office are located here along with a range of student resources, including the mezzanine library, IT suites and several open study spaces.

It is the place to eat with a choice of two dining options, and a place to meet with friends.

In addition to all the above, it is home to our excellent Arts Academy that includes a 200-seat theatre to host live performances and is designed to provide top-level facilities for those looking to progress in the creative and performing world.

50 years after it was built, we have also invested in redeveloping one of Loughborough College’s most iconic structures, now our state-of-the-art Sixth Form College building.

A short walk and you will find our recently refurbished Higher Education Centre: an open learning space dedicated to undergraduate studies.

“The College has invested in recent years to improve the facilities for students: “There is a big library at the college where many useful books and journals can be found. Also, computers are available for student use in the college whenever they are needed and quiet places for studying can be found as well. I really like the fact that buildings in the college are newly built and also there are some shops and cafeterias available on site”

Rated 5/5 for her overall experience as an international student at Loughborough College.
